When the call fails to complete, the answer is in the evidence.
Signaling failures on SBCs, proxies and gateways are rarely explained by intuition. Ositron isolates the root cause from what the network capture actually shows — not from what experience assumes happened.
Signaling forensics, not guesswork
Every analysis begins with a human eye trained in SIP, reading the capture frame by frame. When a case becomes complex or hard to interpret, a structured forensic method takes over — one that separates fact from assumption and concludes only what the evidence supports.
Characterize the capture
Before any diagnosis, we determine what the capture allows us to see — and what it hides. A single collection point, a missing side of the conversation or a gap in the timeline is declared as fact at the outset, never discovered at the end.
Collect without inferring
We extract every signaling message and every relevant parameter exactly as they appear in the capture. At this stage there is no interpretation: only a faithful record of what was observed, including the media plane when present.
Assume no roles
Which element is originator, terminator, proxy or intermediary is a conclusion derived from the evidence — never an input. The real topology of the client's environment is reconstructed from observable behavior, not from what is expected of it.
Compare against the standard
Each behavior is compared against the applicable technical standard, distinguishing what is required, what is permitted and what is vendor-specific. A divergence only becomes a violation when it contradicts a normative requirement — not because it differs from another implementation.
Support hypotheses with proof
We never pick a cause because it is the most common. We raise every hypothesis compatible with the evidence and eliminate each one only when there is objective proof. If two survive, both remain — each with its stated confidence level.
Conclude with what exists
The deliverable explicitly separates observed fact, inference, hypothesis and conclusion — with the call timeline, the transaction inventory and the evidence matrix that supports the verdict. And the confidence level of every statement.
Isolated to observable evidence — not to the statistics of similar cases.
Fact, inference, hypothesis and conclusion always separated, never conflated.
Every violation pinpointed with the exact standard, field and frame that prove it.
We don't say what probably happened. We say what the capture proves — and how much it proves.Talk to a specialist →
